About
We are an eclectic duo of passionate artists, liable to pursue whatever project comes our way! Our main project to date is Liza Battles the Instruments of Destiny, a heartfelt animation-inspired story about a kid, a comic, a destiny, and the trans experience through a high school lens. We are dedicated to the development of diversity across musical theatre and specifically the development of trans, queer, and gender non-conforming roles in our shows. We are always brewing new shows to share, so check back every once and a while or follow our social media!
Liza Battles the Instruments of Destiny
Liza Battles the Instruments of Destiny follows a high-schooler named Jules as they navigate the day to day challenges of high school and the struggles of exploring their gender identity. The story is told through a mix of Jules’ experiences and the comic they are creating. The comic tells the story of Liza, a girl who fights villains with her guitar, as she attempts to defeat various enemies and rescue a hero who will, supposedly, save her home city. This musical highlights how relatable comics and cartoons can be to the queer experience and the challenges queer people, espically young teens, face when trying to find themselves.
